Erasmus Event in Zagreb, Kroatien in Wien

Was wirst du machen

Hier detaillierte Beschreibung auf Englisch:

There are five pillars on which the Erasmus+ project „Cultural Boat“ (CUB) has been envisaged to rest upon, which serve as five topics participants will engage with. These are: human dignity, solidarity, liberty, tolerance and culture. It is important to understand these terms properly and know how central to European values they are. But it is more important to be able to live in accordance with those values. What we’re trying to do with CUB is to give young people a framework in which they can learn how to live out these values. This is mainly achieved by having people from different countries and cultural backgrounds spend quality time together getting to know each other, sharing and working on projects.

This way young people can, among other, learn from first hand experience what are the differences between them and, maybe more importantly, what is the invisible thread which connects them; what is the common ground on which they can understand each other and their respective cultures, identify common goals and work on them.

Additionally, participants are going to learn how to communicate in a foreign language, learn how to learn“, how to work with others as a group; they’ll have opportunities for presenting their initiatives and creativity and get to know other cultures. These goals are to be achieved by facilitated day to day activities and group projects such as Ice breaker games, country specific thematic evenings, treasure hunt game, media Group works, everyday reflection and Youthpass composing, culture related quiz etc. After the activities that will take place in Zagreb, participants are encouraged to share their experiences and things they had learned in their own countries; be it on-line, through debates, contacting the local media hence further encouraging initiative and responsibility.

CUB is divided into three parts: before the activity period, Zagreb activities and after the activity period. In the first period, every group from respective country has to meet other members from his or her group, prepare materials for activities (such as thematic evenings), get some motivation and information about the projects. It’s important to achieve group cohesion and discuss everything related with the travel, security measures and rules which the group leader sets. After the activities period is a period in which each group and individual is called to share experiences and fruits from activity period in their own communities. This can be done, as indicated in a

paragraph above, by writing a publication, making a video, doing interviews, organising a public event, using on-line means and so on. Each period is equally important and has to be executed correctly.
